Desert Ice 1

The story that is about to unfold takes place in a place where life should not survive. The location is where a massive incident, in no control of that which lived before it.  What was once full of life, prosperity and freedom was taken quickly, aggressively and violently by a ball of fire from the sky.

Where an ocean once thrived is now barren wastelands. Who and what survived this taking of life, prosperity and feedom has attempted to adapt to the now surreal environment.

Today, this land is ruled by creatures all too similar to humans; they have feathers instead of hair, black wings on their backs and a philosophy of life all their own. These people, called Corvids, rule the land over the humans who are equal in population.

In the middle of the West Dry Ocean, the capital city of the Aeran Empire, Aeros, is the central most location of the corvid population. In this day and age, the humans, who for so long blame  the corvid population for taking away their peaceful way of life, wage war and hate against the corvids and seek to destroy them so that someday the ocean will return and they can go on surviving.

Unfortunately, for the humans, they are slowly dying away in the extreme environment of this desert and the corvid people are thriving. Endless and ageless, the people continue to fight for their dying hopes and dreams that are slowly disappearing with the dry winds and sands that blow north, far and away, to some distant land.

To start the story that will unfold, the prince of the corvid people, the heir in later years to come, has taken massive responsibilities for his young age. He has waged counter attacks to the human's attacks and attempts everyday to seek peace. He also has a wife to be, a princess in distress.

The prince, Alexander Frederigo Valenscuela Cuervo the third, or Alex for short, takes his now very sick wife to be to sanctuary. His wife, Bellioux, a woman made of ice, stands hardly any chance of life in such an extreme environment.

So many questions and so many more answers with unending questions stem from this strange beginning. A desert prince, an ice woman, a war of the races within the empire all comes together through history. Now, the survival of the corvids, the humans, and the empire all come to rest on the very decisions of these two young lovers.

The story begins on a cool, moonlit desert night in the bottom of a mining shaft. The sick and dying Bellioux is kept in barely life-sustaining conditions.
